Rodrigo Contreras (25) is a young Colombian rider, who already showed some great abilities in the individual time trial races. Thus, in 2018 he won a prologue and an ITT for 42 km at the Vuelta a Colombia. Also, during that season Conteras won an individual time trial at the Central American and Caribbean Sports Games and at the South American Games. Contreras has spent a good debut season in Astana Pro Team, taking a nice win at the final stage of the Tour du Rwanda and helping Miguel Angel Lopez at the Colombia 2.1 and Volta Ciclista a Catalunya.
