Tour de Pologne. Stage 7. Bad luck for Chernetskii, aggressive ride of Lutsenko

The 5th in the general classification before the final stage of the Tour de Pologne Sergei Chernetskii became a victim of a late crash with 4 km to go caused by left unattended dog that ran on the road. Due to the crash, Astana rider lost time and was not able to return in the leading group. Thus, Chernetskii finished the final 7th stage of the race 1 minute 47 seconds behind the leaders and moved down from 5th to 17th place in the final overall classification.

Tour de Pologne. Stage 6. Sergei Chernetskii takes 6th in Bukowina Tatrzanska

It was a short (129 km), but very intense and hard stage 6 from Zakopane to Bukowina Tatrzanska with 12 categorized climbs and a number of noncategorized hills.

Tour de Pologne. Stage 5. Bizhigitov in break, Chernetskii and Lutsenko – 11th and 12th

A hilly stage 5 from Kopalnia Soli to Bielsko-Biala (152 km) has been held at the Tour de Pologne. Astana Team rider Zhandos Bizhigitov made part of a long-day breakaway, doing a strong race.

Tour de Pologne. Stage 4. Sergei Chernetskii is 4th in first mountain stage

After three flat stages, the peloton of the Tour de Pologne reached the decisive part of the race. Sergei Chernetskii looked strong today, taking a solid 4th place in uphill sprint in Szczyrk after 179 km of racing. Astana’s rider was in front in the final part of the stage and was able to hold his position until the finish line.
