Impressive ride by Alexey Lutsenko taking fourth place in Omloop Het Nieuwsblad
After his win in the Tour of Oman last week, Alexey Lutsenko now displayed his great shape in the first classic of the season, finishing fourth in Omloop Het Nieuwsblad. A five-man leading group made it into the final kilometers when Zdenek Stybar attacked from this group. The remaining four riders, including Lutsenko, were not able to close the gap on Stybar before the finish. Sprinting for the podium, Alexey Lutsenko finished third behind Greg Van Avermaet and Tim Wellens. It was a strong team performance of Astana Pro Team today, with Hugo Houle and Laurens de Vreese finishing in the second group.
