Laurens De Vreese: An experienced rider and a true showman

Laurens joined the team in 2015, and was already a strong and experienced rider, a specialist in the Northern Classics. Over the last six years with the Kazakh team, Laurens participated at more than 21 Classic races like Paris – Roubaix, Ronde van Vlaanderen or Liège-Bastogne-Liège and Milano-Sanremo.

Tour Poitou-Charentes en Nouvelle Aquitaine. De Vreese spends day in the breakaway, Martinelli in Top 10 at the second stage

The second stage of French stage race started today in Royan and finished in Échiré after 186.3 km of racing. Another flat stage of Tour Poitou-Charentes en Nouvelle Aquitaine finished with an expected massive sprint won by French rider Arnaud Démare, Italian rider of Astana Pro Team Davide Martinelli closed Top 10.

Santos Tour Down Under. Stage 4. Laurens De Vreese in breakaway again, gets red number

Despite of a hilly profile in the first part of the distance, the fourth stage of 152.8 km from Norwood to Murray Bridge provided a good possibility to the sprinters to fight for a stage win. The only factor which could play a role was a crosswind, expected to blow in the final of the race. But, in fact, the wind was not strong enough to create echelons and, finally, everything ended with a bunch sprint won by the Australian Caleb Ewan.

Santos Tour Down Under. Stage 2. Laurens De Vreese – the most competitive rider, Fabio Felline and Luis Leon Sanchez finish in Top-10

It was a good day for Astana Pro Team at the Santos Tour Down Under with Laurens De Vreese becoming the most competitive rider of stage 2 and Fabio Felline and Luis Leon Sanchez bringing the first Top-10 places in 2020 season, finishing at 5th and 8th positions in Stirling.
