Bretagne Classic. Gravel sectors decisive in hard classic race
It was a hard day for the Astana riders at the Bretagne Classic, as the first gravel sectors decided the race. A group of 30 riders got clear halfway the 248-kilometer-long classic race, without any Astana riders represented due to mechanical problems at the gravel sectors. In the end, Sep Vanmarcke won the race after he attacked from a small group in the final kilometer. Pello Bilbao was the first Astana rider to finish.
