Santos Tour Down Under. Davide Ballerini is 12th in opening stage

The 2019 season has been officially opened today with the first stage of the UCI WorldTour race Santos Tour Down Under. The peloton of the race passed a short 129-km-long distance from North Adelaide to Port Adelaide. It was a very hot day with just a few attempts of attacks.

Down Under Classic. Luis Leon Sanchez is 8th in chaotic final

The Kazakh Astana Pro Team has opened its 2019 cycling season with the Down Under Classic, a criterium race on the streets of Adelaide, which traditionally precedes the first seasonal UCI WorldTour event Santos Tour Down Under. Astana tried to do this race quite aggressively: Manuele Boaro won an intermediate sprint and stepped on the final podium to get a prix as Luis Leon Sanchez was able to finish inside the Top-10 on 8th position.

Astana Pro Team presented renewed roster for 2019

On the Indepedence Day of Kazakhstan, Astana Pro Team presented its renewed roster for the 2019 season. In Altea, Spain, where the team is preparing for the new season during a training camp, the team presented itself for the 14th season in the highest league of cycling.
