Baloise Belgium Tour. Stage 3. Andriy Grivko second at ITT, climbs to third in GC

A strong day for Andriy Grivko, as he takes the second place at the Individual Time Trial of the Baloise Belgium Tour. He was only 5 seconds behind Christian Laporte, who wins the ITT and takes over the lead in the GC from André Greipel. Grivko is third overall after today’s stage.

Giro d’Italia. Stage 18. Miguel Angel Lopez attacks, moves in GC

The first of three the most decisive stages of the Giro d’Italia has been held today. The peloton rode 196 km from Abbiategrasso to the top of the first category climb Prato Nevoso. Astana’s Miguel Angel Lopez attacked with around 3,5 km to go from a GC contender’s group, getting a gap and winning some important seconds on his main rivals.

Baloise Belgium Tour. Stage 2. Top 10 for Riccardo Minali

Another day for the sprinters at Baloise Belgium Tour. After the second place of Riccardo Minali yesterday, today he finished tenth at stage 2. André Greipel was again the fastest sprinter of the peloton.

Baloise Belgium Tour. Riccardo Minali takes second after strong sprint at stage 1

Finishing just half a wheel behind winner André Greipel, Riccardo Minali took the second place at the first stage of the Baloise Belgium Tour. After a hectic final, where Magnus Cort crashed but made it back to perform as Minali’s lead-out, the young Italian of Astana Pro Team sprinted out of the wheel of Greipel to finish second.

Giro d’Italia. Stage 17. Luis Leon Sanchez keeps on attacking

Astana’s rider Luis Leon Sanchez has spent a very solid and aggressive race, attacking for many times during the 17th stage of the Giro d’Italia. Sanchez was among the riders, who initiated the first breakaway of the day and later, he was trying more and more to stay in front of the stage and to fight for a victory. At least three times during this day Luis Leon was in different breakaways, the last one was neutralized with just 10 kilometers to go.
