- Our guys were there stretch the legs. As I said before we are not in the competition about the first places in GC, therefore, for our guys there were not big ambitions of the results today. We hope, that today’s stage will help progress for the races in the future, - commented sports director Lars Michaelsen after the stage.
The best result among the Astana team ridera showed Daniil Fominykh, who finished 39th, with a gap of 1’27 behind the stage winner Jonathan Dibben from UK.
- It was nice stage, the route was not very technically hard - there were not any sharp turns there and any steep climbs. The place was also amazing and beautiful. I’m here after a long break and six days of racing also are felt in the legs, that is why only 39th, - said Daniil Fominykh after the race.
Tomorrow is a final stage of the 7-days competition which will start in Mountain High and will finish in Pasadena after 125 km of racing.
