Stage 3. Tour of Croatia. Riccardo Minali is third at the final sprint

The longest (237 km) stage of Tour of Croatia started today in Imotski and was characterized by the strong crosswind during the whole day.

After 6 hours of the Race of Natural Beauty across the mountains and seasides, stage finished in Zadar with the expected mass sprint won by Italian sprinter Nicolo Ruffoni.
Astana team rider Riccardo Minali finished third.
- It was stressful finish at the narrow roads with strong crosswind, but the team made a great job to help Minali to find the good position for the sprint. Finally, he was third, and I think it was good day for us, - commented Truls Corsaeth after the finish.
Norway rider of Astana Proteam Truls Korsaeth rides his first season as a professional rider and it is his first time in Croatia.
- I already races some races for the team from the beginning of the season and it is a great experience, I can feel much lot of resources. Of corse, I see the differences not only at the races, that are much faster and harder, than I used to race before, but also the organization in the team is really on the high level, - concluded Korsaeth.
Tomorrow will be more quite stage, 171-km long between the Crikvenica and Umag with the more likely another group finish.
