Kazakhstan rider of Astana Proteam Alexey Lutsenko showed well himself, doing a good time trial. Lutsenko was able to mark the second provisional time at the finish, while in the end he became 11th, 54 seconds behind stage winner and the new overall leader Julian Alaphilippe.
- The first stage at the Paris-Nice were not as I would like – the weather and the wind greatly exhausted. But today I managed to recover, so I was able to do this time trial at a good level. My form is getting better day by day so I am on the way to the level I’d like to have. Today I felt good, so now I am motivated for the final three stages this weekend. Paris-Nice is my first goal of the season, after which the focus will be on the Milano-Sanremo and the classics in Belgium. I think that all goes according to plan, - said Alexey Lutsenko.
Stage 5 of the Paris-Nice will be held tomorrow: 199,5 km from Quincié-en-Beaujolais to Bourg-de-Péage.
