The Sittard time trial was won by the team favored the American BMC Racing Team, second the Belgian Etixx- Quick Step and third the Dutch Team Lottonl Jumbo.
Thanks to the team victory, the Australian Rohan Dennis took for the second time the leader jersey of the Dutch race followed by the his teammate the American Taylor Phinney.
The sixth stage is full of pitfalls: six short climbs, the last four concentrated in the last 54 kilometers. To note the côte Bois la Dame 900 meters with an average gradient of 12.2% and the short climb of Muizenberg (650 meters to 6.6%) 18 km from the finish.
