CeramicSpeed is a company from Denmark that has an interesting story. In 1998, the company’s founder, Jacob Csizmadia, broke the world record for 24hr inline skating – using skates equipped with ceramic ball bearings. Two years later, he introduced ceramic bearings to professional cycling. A winning mentality is how it all started, and it’s this guiding principle that continues to drive them forward.

CeramicSpeed’s most iconic product, developed, tested and hand-built in Denmark, is the Oversized Pulley Wheel System (OSPW System), launched in 2015. After intensive R&D and testing of both pulley wheel sizes and cage material, the OSPW System is also the choice of the riders from Astana Pro Team, delivering the best combination between performance, design and light weight, with no compromise on aerodynamics when riding outdoors. After 5 years, CeramicSpeed’s OSPW System is still world’s fastest oversized system.
The manufacturing of one single CeramicSpeed ball takes between 50 and 70 days to achieve the perfect roundness, smoothness and hardness, featuring the highest grade of ceramic and outperforming all known competitors.
