The one day French Classic, Gran Prix de Pluoay has changed its name this year to Bretagne Classic – Ouest France but didn’t change its DNA: although there were not big climbs in the race route, it has remained a very tough race that created even this year a great selection between the participants.
“We decided to ride today to help our Andrey Grivko to obtain a good result – explained the sport director Giuseppe Martinelli after the finish – and Andrey was in a very good shape and was doing good in the first part of the race”.
“Unfortunately the Ukrainian of the Astana Pro Team has fallen down and he has remained out from the fight for the race victory. Anyway it has been a very diffcult race, as expected: more than 3000 meters of difference in level and a light rain since the first km, a endless succession of climbs and descents, turns and down-and-go… it went so, now let’s focus on the next races of the season” concluded Martinelli.
