Tour of Norway. Stage 3. Day in the break for Nikita Stalnov
At stage 3 of the Tour of Norway, Nikita Stalnov made it in a three-men-breakaway. He even went solo for a while, collecting KOM points, but everything came back for a bunch sprint. Edvald Boasson Hagen was the fastest rider of the day, taking the stage and the overall lead finishing just in front of the bunch.

- We had the plan to go in a break as we thought a big breakaway might make it to the finish because in the end there were three technically difficult laps. But, in the end, we were with only three riders at the front and the peloton never gave us much space. We did not work really well so on a climb I decided to go solo. Finally, the group caught me back. Anyway, I think it was a good day for me, a good training ahead of the last two stages which we will have this weekend. I want to do my best in these stages and to help Luis Leon Sanchez who can do really well there, - said Nikita Stalnov.
The riders started in Lyngdal to finish in Kristiansand after 179.7 kilometers of racing. Right from the start, Nikita Stalnov took off with two other riders, but after a solo attack, everything came back together to finish in a sprint with Edvald Boasson Hagen who finished just in front of the bunch after an attack.
Tomorrow the riders will have a long day with 224.4 kilometers, as they will race from Arendal to Sandefjord.
