- Everything happened quickly, and I even did not understand well what is going on. Looks like it was a dog on the road. I fell down with around 4 km to go, when I was riding in the leading group. Fortunately, I did not get any serious injury, but, of course, it was impossible for me to come back in front. What a pity! I felt good today as well as during all week here in Poland and I was motivated to reach in the overall classification as high as possible. Now, I hope to keep my form as my next goal is the Arctic Race of Norway, - explained Sergei Chernetskii.
The Kazakhstan Champion Alexey Lutsenko became one of the heroes of the final stage in Bukowina Tatrzanska (136 km). He went in a big long-day breakaway, while later did a few powerful attacks to fight for a stage win. The last time Lutsenko attacked from the leading group to follow Simon Yates, but after spending too much energy earlier in the day he had to give up. Anyway, this stage showed our champion is coming into really good form ahead of the next big goals.
The Polish rider Michal Kwiatkowski became the overall winner of the Tour de Pologne.
