The race was characterized by a very bad weather, which made this day in London harder for the riders.
- I think it was a good day for me. Honestly, I was scare for a few times because of two punctures in critical moments during the race. But, both times I was lucky to solve the problem quickly and to come back in the group with the help of my teammates. The day was crazy because of the speed, downhills, rain, dirty roads. We had to be really careful to stay close to the front and to fight for the position. I felt good and I decided to do sprint. I did my best in the final and finished 13th, so that’s not bad at all. I can be satisfied with this performance. I think, it is good for me after a month without racing. Now, I am looking forward to start in the Tour of Denmark next week, - explained Hugo Houle.
The race was won by the German champion Pascal Achermann ahead of Elia Viviani and Giacomo Nizzolo.
