TOUR DE POLOGNE. STAGE 7. HILLY AND TOUGH STAGE TO BUKOVINA.
Our Luis Leon Sanchez 15th on the finish line among the GC contenders.

The last stage of the Tour de Pologne 2017 ended in the beautiful location of the Bukovina Resort and saw an epic fight between the GC contenders.
The stage victory has gone to the Dutch, Wout Poels, while the overall victory went to the Belgian, Dylan Teuns, winner of the third stage.
Among our riders, the Spaniard Luis Leon Sanchez, kept the front group until 10 km to go and ended the race in 15th position at 56 seconds from the winner and the Tour de Pologne in 18th position at 3:52.
At the end of this week of race, we made the point of the situation with the sport director of the Astana Pro Team, the Italian Stefano Zanini.
“We came to this Tour the Pologne with a good team, composed by young and expert riders, back to race after a period of recovery and altitude training” said Zanini.
“In the first stages our young talented sprinter, Riccardo Minali, did pretty good with a 4th position in the first stage and a 9th in the second – explained Zanini – then, we did good performances with Moreno Moser, two days in a row at the attack in the two of the most difficult stages and Luis Leon Sanchez just behind the GC contenders, on the right way to be in the top of his condition at the upcoming Vuelta a Espana.”
“I think we can be satisfied for our Tour de Pologne – concluded the sport director – even because the guys raced as a real group, helping each other in every particular situation.”
