As it was predicted, the stage went quite calm and ended with a powerful sprint in a small uphill. Spaniard Carlos Barbero became the stage winner, outsprinting Italian Gianni Moscon and French rider Julian Alaphilippe.
Astana Team leader Miguel Angel Lopez as well as his helpers Sergei Chernetckii and Jesper Hansen finished the stage without any problem in the main group.
There was not any change in the general classification after the 4th stage: Mikel Landa still leads the race, Miguel Angel Lopez is 5th, Chernetckii is 10th, Hansen is 12th.
The last, 5th stage of the Vuelta a Burgos will be held tomorrow: the peloton will pass 136 km from Comunero de Revenga to the famous climb Lagunas de Neila.
